A Gallery of Opportunities: New Private Fine Art School Does More Than Teach Skills
Flagstaff, AZ (PRWEB) October 4, 2006 -- With the recent addition of instructors Larisa Aukon and Betsey Nelson, both accomplished artists and local instructors, Fine Art Studies™ will launch the opening of The Living Gallery™ on October 6th, 2006, during the Flagstaff first Friday art walk. The initial downtown gallery opening will feature the art of both Ms. Aukon and Ms. Nelson along with open access to the Fine Art Studies™ school space. Catered appetizers and beverages will be served in the gallery, and several art technique demos will be hosted in the classroom space during the evening. Additionally there will be a grand-prize giveaway of a free weekend workshop along with discount vouchers for this next month's painting and pastel classes.
Fine Art Studies™ class sizes will be between six and 10 students to ensure personal, intensive instruction for each student. Registration is open to adult fine art students of all skill levels and many mediums. Initially the classes offered will focus on painting and pastels, but will expand to include drawing, composition, color and digital mediums.
Fine Art Studies™ will begin offering regular classes on October 21st, 2006. Instructor Larisa Aukon will host an intensive weekend painting workshop in both oil and acrylic which runs Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Additionally, there will be open studios hosted each Monday night from 6-8:30 p.m. featuring live models.
